The year the Lunch Club won an award.
Hong Kong reopened, and the Club went outdoors in earnest. The Yale Alumni Association recognised the Lunch Club — an idea whose entire mechanism is that two alumni who have never met go to lunch.

The year
- In memoriam: Bill Stork, 1940–2022
- William Stork ’62 led this Club as president from 1996 to 2001, having also served as president of the Yale Club of Southern California and on the Yale Alumni Association's Board of Governors. The evening opened with his memory.
- An Excellence Award for the Lunch Club
- The Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors recognised the Club for promoting real friendships through its monthly lunches — the fourth consecutive year the Club had been honoured.
- Back on the trails
- Lantau Peak, High Junk Peak, and a New Year's hike from Parkview to Quarry Bay, plus a boat tour of the UNESCO Global Geopark.
- Music and service
- The Chamber Music Society performed through the year, and the Club continued its community service programme.
- Henry Steiner at the dinner
- The Club's guest speaker was one of its own — the designer whose work defined the visual language of modern Hong Kong.
